Make a Child-Friendly Hammock with a Bed Sheet and a Table

Make a Child-Friendly Hammock with a Bed Sheet and a Table

Kids can find joy in the mundane, be it a cardboard box turned into a fort or just some generic item around the house imbued with possibility through their imagination. When all that energy dissipates and it’s time for a nap, you can make that more fun with a homemade hammock.

As pictured above, you just need a large bed sheet that you can tie around the top of a table. This provides a place to sleep for a small child that’s a bit more fun than heading off to their room and into their bed. Obviously you don’t want to do this with a bigger/heavier kid, as the sheet can only hold so much weight. Make sure you test it for safety and don’t tie the hammock too high off the ground just to play it extra safe.
